When you shop with us, we want you to be completely satisfied. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a replacement or refund of the purchase price.

Defective Returns: A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, issued by a UNIVERSITY HOUSEWARES representative, MUST accompany ALL returns and be printed on the outside portion of the returned box in order to avoid refusal. A copy of the return form sent via Email by our staff must be included in the returned carton.
ALL returns sent without an Return Merchandise Authorization number will be refused, no exceptions.
RMA numbers must be obtained no later than 15-days from date of receipt which will be valid only for 10 days from date of issuance. No other RMA numbers will be issued after this time has lapsed. The Return System can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks. Please contact info@universityhousewares.com and a universityhousewares.com rep will help expedite status of your return. We urge all defective merchandise to be sent to the manufacturer.
If the 30 day warranty period has lapsed, all product returns must be handled by the manufacturer or warranty provider in relation to that product.
Due to the deeply discounted prices we offer on the net, We reserve the right to hold the customer responsible for all return shipping costs unless we have shipped a wrong model# in error. We recommend you use UPS, for all returns. Please make sure your package is sent with a tracking number and RMA to avoid loss or confusion. Please send the return tracking number to us, so we can help track the return and be able to resolve the problem in a timely manner.
All returns will be processed and fully inspected after they arrive in our store. All products must be returned in original condition, including packaging, documentation, warranty cards, manuals, and accessories.
Products returned without original packaging, accessories, and documentation, cannot be accepted and will be returned at customers expense.
Universityhousewares.com cannot and will not accept items that are shown to have been abused, tampered with, or broken, whether accidental or intentional, even if within the 30 day warranty period.
Merchandise that is defective can be exchanged for an in-store credit that will be emailed to you in a CODED format that only you may redeem for any product on our site or in the retail store.
Non-Defective Returns:
Note: we do not accept returns on personal care products. Only Re-issuances of damaged items.
Any returns found to be non-defective and in working order are subject to a 15% restocking fee and all non-product-related fees (shipping on the item, transaction fee's 6%, multiple items ordered) are not refundable. The Return System can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks to see the credit on your card. Please Contact a UNIVERSITY HOUSEWARES rep to obtain return status of your return. We urge all defective merchandise be sent to the manufacturer (see above category for details).
All relative Fees (shipping, handling and return shipping fees) are NON-REFUNDABLE for all products, in all cases. Unless, it is a result of our error.
Cancellations:
Cancellations that are cancelled before items are shipped are subject to a 7% "cancellation fee" if your card was charged and we where able to stop the shipment. UNIVERSITYHOUSEWARES.COM reserves the right to cancel an order or to issue a Return Authorization (RA), for merchandise that is advertised in error, unexpectedly out of stock, does not conform to specifications, or was shipped in error. Additionally, UNIVERSITYHOUSEWARES.COM reserves the right to cancel any order with pricing that is incorrect due to our error.
Once an order has been placed, the customer can cancel the order before it is shipped. If the ordered product('s) did not ship within the represented time, UNIVERSITYHOUSEWARES.COM will honor any request for cancellation received prior to the actual shipment of the product(s), once the cancel is confirmed with our warehouse and the shipping department. We will not and can not guarantee cancellation of an order if it is already in the shipping process. We will acknowledge "a request to cancel" but can not guarantee it, especially if it is proposed to ship that day. Refused or undeliverable shipments will be subject to a restocking fee of 9%. When a package cannot be delivered, and must be reshipped, the shipping fees will be recharged.
Multiple Orders:
When placing multiple item orders, sometimes one item may be out of stock or not available, the remaining items will ship automatically. Multiple quantities of a particular item will be shipped together. Multiple items of different models will be shipped separately. Any item that is oversized will be shipped & charged separately, i.e.: over 40 pounds and longer than 48 inches.
Missing Parts: UNIVERSITYHOUSEWARES.COM is dedicated to ensuring that your products are received in the condition as advertised. If your product is missing parts, first contact the product's warranty service provider.
If the manufacturer does not help in resolving these issues, UNIVERSITYHOUSEWARES.COM will work with you to obtain an appropriate resolution to the extent of our ability.
Please contact UNIVERSITY HOUSEWARES within five days of receipt of shipment to report missing parts.
